When is registration Cut Off?

The cut off date to register is Friday 25th of March 2022. However, it is never too late to donate or volunteer to help on the day!

What is the entry fee?

There is no entry fee, but a $50 donation is to be paid at the time of registration. By registering you are committing to raise a minimum of $200 for your chosen charity. The $200 minimum is per participant not per team. Remember, all donations over $2 are tax-deductible and 100% of donations go directly to the beneficiaries. 

How do I edit my fundraising page?

How long will it take me to walk 50km?

It depends on your fitness , intended speed and how long you rest at checkpoints. Some good runners take just under 4 hrs, but it may take 5-6 hrs depending on your speed. If you are walking on average it could take anywhere between 7-11 hours.

The event is not a race, but many participants do run (or combine running and walking).

Do I need a support crew?

It is strongly recommended that participants have a support crew. It is impractical to carry all necessary supplies (food, drink & clothes) but a support crew is not essential.

Will my mobile phone work?

Since the walk is through metropolitan Melbourne, mobile phone reception should be available the whole 50km.  We recommend carrying a phone for emergencies or so you can contact your support crew or us if you need to.
